Ilay Ben David · Fourth-Year Osteopathy Student

Osteopathic techniques

When a joint does not move as it should, the rest of the body adapts and pays the price. With osteopathic techniques I work on the joints, muscles and tissues to help the body move better.

What are osteopathic techniques

Manual techniques that originate in osteopathy: gentle joint mobilization, stretching and soft tissue work. The goal is to improve movement and take the load off areas that are working too hard.

Why "techniques" and not "osteopathy"

I am a fourth-year osteopathy student. Until I complete my studies, I present this service as osteopathic techniques, to describe my training accurately.

Who it is for

  • People with pain or limited movement in the back, neck, shoulders or pelvis.
  • People in rehabilitation, alongside their medical treatment.
  • Seniors who want to stay mobile.

How it fits into the treatment

In every treatment I combine what the body needs that day: osteopathic techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and Dry needling.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No referral is needed for the treatment itself. An insurance refund requires a referral for complementary medicine, subject to the terms of the policy.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing. What you keep on during the treatment depends on the type of treatment, and is always up to what you are comfortable with.
